A huge move
Graeme Souness has tipped Real Madrid to make a sensational 150 million pound move for one Premier League star next summer as they continue to build their 'galactico' side.
Madrid secured their 15th Champions League title in 2024 after a 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund at Wembley through goals from Dani Carvajal and Vinicius Jr.
The victory seems to have secured the prestigious Ballon d'Or for Vinicius, who is the odds-on favourite to win the award ahead of Manchester City's Rodri.
Following their record-breaking victory, Madrid added the signing of Kylian Mbappe as a free agent after his PSG contract expired in the summer.
Mbappe joins Vinicius, Endrick, Rodrygo, Jude Bellingham as attacking options for Carlo Ancelotti, but Madrid have been tipped to add even more goals to their lineup.
Speaking via CaughtOffside, Souness has claimed that he can see Madrid going all out for Chelsea superstar Cole Palmer next summer.
“I’m sure there are other players they could have cashed in on. Chelsea paid £ 40 million for Palmer but if Real Madrid come knocking next summer and he is still at the level he is showing, I would not be surprised if they got an offer of £150m for him," Souness explained.
Despite making his debut in 2020 for City, Palmer only really burst onto the scene last season following his move to Stamford Bridge.
Since the move, Palmer has scored 28 Premier League goals and provided 16 assists in just 41 appearances for the club.
Palmer was rewarded for his spectacular debut season for Chelsea with an England call-up for Euro 2024 where he very controversially didn't start a single game.
Despite not getting the nod from Southgate, Palmer still managed to have a huge impact on England's tournament as he assisted their last-minute semi-final winner as well as equalising from range in the final.
Although the allure of Real Madrid is hard for a young footballer to ignore it would likely take a monumental fee to secure Palmer's services with the midfielder contracted to Chelsea until 2033.
