Final decision… Florentino Perez and Ancelotti announced that he will leave Real Madrid next June
Real Madrid officials are looking to offload some players in the coming period in order to make room for strong signings that will further strengthen the team’s squad.
The club’s management must make decisive choices to improve the team’s roster. While some decisions may prove to be the right ones, others could turn out to be mistakes.
In the case of JesĂşs Vallejo, it is clear that the club made an error in judgment. Signed in 2015 for €5 million, Vallejo has been loaned out six times since joining Real Madrid. Over the past nine years, he has struggled with repeated injuries and personal issues, which have hindered his progress significantly.
Vallejo’s contract with Real Madrid expires on June 30, 2025. Last summer, the management wanted to end their relationship with the player, but Vallejo chose to spend one more season at the club, hoping to enjoy his final year with the team.
According to information from the Spanish newspaper “Defensa Central”, the club has already made it clear that it will not be renewing his contract, a fact that Vallejo is fully aware of. For his part, coach Carlo Ancelotti prefers to rely on other players in the center-back position, such as AurĂ©lien TchouamĂ©ni, or give opportunities to young players from Castilla like Asensio or Jacopo.
Although he has not achieved the career he once hoped for, JesĂşs Vallejo expresses deep gratitude to Real Madrid for the support they have shown him throughout the years. The club has always been there for him, even during his most challenging times.
Now, Vallejo will likely be forced to take a new path in his career. While some clubs may see an opportunity to offer him a fresh start, it is unlikely that it will be in La Liga, given his long absence from regular first-team action and his need to regain his self-confidence
