24 Hours After Sevilla, Arda Güler Receives Good News in Madrid

Real Madrid's young attacking midfielder, Arda Güler, is ending 2024 on a high note. A day after his last match of the year against Sevilla FC, the 19-year-old player received valuable recognition.

Unlike last season, Arda Güler has played a significant role in Real Madrid's squad this season. Since arriving in the Spanish capital last year, the Turkish international has been gaining momentum. Technically more mature, Güler has gained Carlo Ancelotti's trust, who uses him more frequently.

With the current season halfway through, Güler has already played 19 matches, including 7 as a starter. As he attracts more attention, the former Fenerbahçe player has entered LaLiga's plans, who have just rewarded him.

Best U23 Player in La Liga

Recently nominated for the best U23 player of the month in the Spanish first division, Arda Güler was crowned by LaLiga this Monday. Beating out names like Lamine Yamal, Ilaix Moriba, and Jon Aramburu, Real Madrid's number 15 won the award for the best player of the last month of 2024, a distinction awarded by LaLiga in collaboration with Riyadh Season.

"The young Real Madrid player has gained importance in recent days, helping Carlo Ancelotti's team achieve good results with his goals and assists. The '15' of the white team wins this LaLiga EA SPORTS U23 Player of the Month award for the first time in his career after beating Lamine Yamal (FC Barcelona), Ilaix Moriba (RC Celta), Jon Aramburu (Real Sociedad), and Fábio Silva (UD Las Palmas)," the statement from LaLiga, led by Javier Tebas, announced.

With fierce competition in Carlo Ancelotti's team, Arda Güler manages to stand out thanks to his intrinsic talent. Considered the Madrid player with the best ball striking precision, the Turkish gem is poised to achieve great things with Real Madrid in the coming weeks. In 2025, with several important deadlines ahead, he will have much more playing time.

Definitely, the 19-year-old has a new status, far different from that of Endrick, with whom he shared the bench just a few weeks ago.
