After the 3-0 win over Brest… Ancelotti is upset with the Real Madrid star’s disastrous performance and praises the star of the match: You will compete for the best in the world.

Real Madrid secured a dominant 3-0 victory over Brest in the final round of the Champions League on Wednesday evening, advancing to the knockout stages.

With this win, Real Madrid increased its points tally to 15, finishing in second place in their group, and securing a spot in the play-offs for the round of 16. Meanwhile, Brest remained on 13 points, finishing in 18th place.

According to information from the Spanish newspaper “Defensa Central”, there was some dissatisfaction with coach Carlo Ancelotti regarding the performance of Aurelien Tchouameni, a player the Italian manager had previously defended despite criticism.

However, Tchouameni’s performance against Brest did not meet expectations, leading Ancelotti to tell him: “I will not defend you anymore.” The coach had given the player several chances, but this time, he expressed frustration with his poor performance, expecting more in the upcoming matches.

On the other hand, Ancelotti was impressed by the development of Brazilian forward Rodrygo, who was exceptional in the match, scoring two of the team’s three goals. After the match, the coach praised him in front of his teammates, stating: “You will compete for the best in the world at this level,” emphasizing that he has become a key figure in the squad.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez also acknowledged Rodrygo’s performance, telling him after the match: “Your contract will be modified and extended for as long as possible. Real Madrid is lucky to have you!”

As for Moroccan forward Brahim Diaz, who started the match but underperformed, Ancelotti gave him a sharp warning: “You only show up as a substitute.” The coach made it clear that Diaz did not provide the expected impact during the minutes he played.

This victory highlighted Ancelotti’s priorities, as he looks to improve the performances of certain players and elevate those who are beginning to shine, such as Rodrygo.
