Ancelotti drops Real Madrid star from starting lineup after Super Cup final defeat to Barcelona.
The famous journalist Edu Aguirre revealed on the program “El Chiringuito” that Carlo Ancelotti, the Italian coach of Real Madrid, is considering not starting all the stars of his attacking line.
Real Madrid suffered a heavy blow, losing 5-2 to Barcelona on Sunday evening in the Spanish Super Cup final.
The inclusion of the attacking trio, Kylian Mbappé, Rodrygo Goes, VinÃcius Júnior, and also Jude Bellingham—has become detrimental to the team’s balance in midfield and defense.
The journalist explained that Ancelotti is deeply concerned and has doubts about the current tactical setup of the team.
Aguirre added that Ancelotti is no longer convinced about playing all four attackers together and seems to be exploring other solutions to restore the team’s required balance.
The Madrid-based journalist further revealed that the Italian coach has decided to exclude Brazilian Rodrygo from the starting lineup and sacrifice him in order to maintain the team’s balance, with Valverde returning to the wing.
Aguirre concluded his statements by saying that Ancelotti may switch to a 4-4-2 formation, with Valverde returning to the right wing and Bellingham moving to the left, which would require significant sacrifices from both players
