Arsenal winger returns to full first-team training
Arsenal have been given a massive injury boost with winger back in first-team training
Arsenal’s attacking options have been severely hit as Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus have been ruled out for extended periods, putting the Gunners in a difficult position during the business end of the season. These injuries have placed a spotlight on the club’s recent transfer decisions, particularly the loan move of Reiss Nelson to Fulham and the temporary acquisition of Raheem Sterling.
Manager Mikel Arteta is expected to make changes to his squad in the summer, but the January transfer window now presents a critical opportunity to address pressing needs, especially in attack.
Arsenal, currently six points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool, who also have a game in hand, are still competing on multiple fronts, including the UEFA Champions League and Carabao Cup. However, their Carabao Cup hopes took a hit after a 2-0 home defeat to Newcastle United in the first leg of the semifinals.
