Trent Alexander-Arnold has reportedly agreed to a five-year deal with Real Madrid, ending his long-term association with Liverpool. According to Sky Sports, Alexander-Arnold's agents have reached an agreement on personal terms with the Champions League holders, with the deal set to begin in July when his Liverpool contract expires.
The 26-year-old right-back will allegedly earn €15million (£12.5m) per year, equivalent to £240,000-per-week, a significant increase from his current Liverpool salary. A signing bonus, equivalent to a "reasonable transfer fee," is also included in the deal.
Alexander-Arnold's decision to leave Liverpool may have been influenced by the club's recent losses in the League Cup final and Champions League. Despite Liverpool's efforts to retain him, Alexander-Arnold had reportedly set his mind on joining Real Madrid .
