The Premier League has announced the shortlist for the 2024/25 Young Player of the Season award. Here are the eight promising young players vying for the recognition :

- Cole Palmer (Chelsea): The 22-year-old attacker had a phenomenal debut campaign for Chelsea, scoring 21 goals and providing 9 assists in the league this season. He's a front-runner for the award and could become the second player to defend the title after Phil Foden.

- Liam Delap (Ipswich Town): Despite Ipswich's relegation, Delap impressed with 12 goals and proved his mettle, making him the first player from a relegated team to be nominated.

- Anthony Elanga (Nottingham Forest): Elanga delivered 10 assists and scored 6 goals, vital contributions to Forest's survival push.

- Ryan Gravenberch (Liverpool): Gravenberch has been instrumental in midfield, adapting seamlessly to a deeper role under new manager Arne Slot. He was also nominated for the senior Player of the Season award.

- Dean Huijsen (Bournemouth): The Spanish centre-back had a commanding presence at the back, earning a deserved nomination and reportedly set for a big-money move to Real Madrid.

- Joao Pedro (Brighton & Hove Albion): Pedro's impressive performance earned him a spot on the shortlist.

- Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa): Rogers blossomed under manager Unai Emery, scoring 8 goals and providing 9 assists in a standout campaign.

- William Saliba (Arsenal): Saliba's exceptional defensive skills made him a nominee for the award.

These young players showcased exceptional talent and dedication throughout the season, and the winner will be determined through a combination of public votes and expert panel assessments.
