Liverpool manager Arne Slot has confirmed that five of his first-team regulars will be rested for the upcoming Carabao Cup fixture.

Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konaté, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Ryan Gravenberch each played the full 90 minutes in all three of the Reds’ matches this past week, and Slot has decided to give them a much-needed break.

“I can tell you now that you won’t see them in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday,” Slot said.
